Big waves at Encuentro

Since 1 week waves stays head high with a clean 12 sec period.





Mostly we have EAST swell, but today it turned to NORTH/EAST and the left start to break too !!










The weekend was crowdy, but fun Cocopipe, Bobos, and the right all worked.




The reason of the big swell is Hurricane EARL, which is right now hitting Puerto Rico.

EARL will arrive tomorrow before noon and our last check right now on Satelite shows a North turn from EARL we maid get a cleaner swell than the surfer in Puerto Rico.

But not only the pro surfer have fun with those waves, also our guests, who start surfing just a week ago are already proud to be part of it!






We are ready to go to surf to Sosua by tomorrow because at Palya encuentro where our surfschool is located the waves will be closeout.

Our surf school is located 10 min west away from Cabarete, at Encuentro Beach

we have 2 shakes with around 100 boards.

our boards are from S U P, long boards, Malibu, fun board, short board fish and qua ts and guns.
our brands are billabong, lost, quit flight, byrne, rawson etc, in fish boards........ king garden, basic element, southpoint etc,in Malibu........ California kET in long board......... waldem* magic model*, mc tevish etc.



We are the only school right in front of the best brake that happened daily what are the right and the left. the left breaks with N and N/E swells and the right with E and N/E.

we surf all year long and even on a small day is fun on a fish or long board.

the spot is friendly NO LOCALISM and water is warm.

close to our shack is a snack bar and a shower.

This morning was not big but fun. We have a N/E swell 4 to 5 feet face 12 sec period sunny and no wind all day. everybody had fun today, it was good to teach and because of the long sec period some of our beginner advance could reach the lineup and surf some glassy waves strait down the line.

My body Zion, 20 years old a good local surfer reached a barrel for 3 sec. and hit a nice ariel after it was teaching and go surf at 3.pm at our second ride. the best is that everybody had fun.
